[Week 9 Baby] The tail is gone.
The spinal cord "tail" has disappeared from the butt! Your baby is looking more human now.
The cartilage and bones are maturing, as well as the reproductive system, including ovaries and testes. But we won't be able to tell the gender using ultrasound yet. The body and limbs are getting longer, and individual fingers start to form.
