Pregnancy Weekly Guide

[Week 8 Mother] You may notice a slight bump on your belly.

The mother's pelvis is rapidly accommodating both the uterus and the baby. The placenta is also growing quickly, and some mothers may complain of a sharp, stabbing pain in the lower abdomen. Due to hormonal changes and the expanding belly, it's also important to pay attention to skin hydration.

Thin, white vaginal discharge is a normal symptom. Pregnancy discharge helps clean out dead cells from the vagina, protects against infections, and maintains a healthy balance of vaginal bacteria. If you feel uncomfortable, make sure to change your underwear frequently. Vaginal discharge may also appear brown or pink, which can sometimes be implantation bleeding, so don't worry too much.

However, if you experience red bleeding, continuous brown discharge, or persistent abdominal pain, be sure to seek medical attention. If you're too worried and can't sleep, it's okay to go to the hospital. Additionally, if the discharge becomes thick, itchy, or has a foul odor, it could be a sign of an infection, so consult a doctor promptly.
