The frozen embryo is thawed and gently placed into the uterus using a thin, flexible catheter.Fasting is generally not required on the day of the embryo transfer. The procedure is often performed with abdominal ultrasound guidance.The embryo is transferred into the uterus through a thin catheter, and anesthesia is usually not required.After a short period of recovery, you can usually go home and return to your normal daily activities. However, it is generally recommended to avoid strenuous exercise or excessive physical exertion immediately after the transfer.
