During IVF treatment, ovarian stimulation injections are used to help multiple follicles grow.In general, higher doses may be used for women who are older or have reduced ovarian reserve.Once the follicles have grown to a certain size, medication may be given to prevent premature ovulation (ovulation occurring earlier than intended).
