IUI Step 1 – You're Starting IUI!
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure in which a semen sample is prepared to select motile sperm, which are then placed directly into the uterus. It is a relatively simple procedure and generally does not require anesthesia.Before IUI, oral medications or injections may be used to stimulate follicle development. In some cases, IUI may also be performed during a natural cycle without ovarian stimulation.
