Active ingredient: Triptorelin acetate

Decapeptyl is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist that regulates the release of reproductive hormones.

Depending on the fertility treatment protocol, it may be used to prevent premature ovulation or as a trigger injection to induce final oocyte maturation once the follicles have developed sufficiently.

During in vitro fertilization (IVF), it may also be used instead of an hCG trigger in certain protocols to reduce the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
