Ovulation Induction Medication – Femara® (Letrozole)

Active Ingredient: Letrozole
Storage: Store in a tightly sealed container below 30°C and protect from moisture
Form: Tablet

Femara (Letrozole) is one of the most commonly prescribed oral ovulation induction medications alongside Clomiphene. It helps stimulate the growth of ovarian follicles.

Like Clomiphene, treatment usually begins on days 2–5 of the menstrual cycle, with a typical dosage of 1–2 tablets per day for 5 days.

Unlike Clomiphene, Femara is much less likely to cause side effects such as thinning of the uterine lining or reduced cervical mucus production.

Femara may also be prescribed for patients who previously developed too many follicles while taking Clomiphene, as it can help reduce the risk of multiple pregnancy (twins or higher-order pregnancies).
