Its effectiveness has been well established over decades of use, and it is relatively affordable.Treatment usually begins on days 2–5 of the menstrual cycle. Patients typically take 1–2 tablets per day for 5 days. Although doses up to 5 tablets per day may be prescribed, it is uncommon to exceed 3 tablets daily.When taken as one tablet daily for 5 days, Clomiphene successfully induces ovulation in approximately 70–80% of patients with ovulatory disorders.Some patients may experience temporary side effects such as thinning of the uterine lining or reduced cervical mucus. However, these effects are usually temporary and generally resolve in the following menstrual cycle.
